Sgt. Matthew Mintz (left), 33, of Tillamook, and Spc. Robert Flick, 26, of Roseburg, examine the the damage to a contractor trailer hit by a mortar attack Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, on Patrol Base Volunteer in Baghdad. Two employees of Kellogg, Brown and Root, a Houston-based firm providing many of the support duties on the base, were injured in the attack. They were treated by medics and then airlifted to an Army hospital in the International Zone for further care. Both soldiers are members of Alpha Company of the Second Battalion, 162nd Infantry of the Oregon National Guard.
