Spc. Lee Davidson, 49, of Beavercreek, cautions drivers to stay put as he turns over control to Iraqi policemen of north-bound traffic stopped on a four-lane highway north of Camp Taji and Baghdad on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004. The main supply route was shut down for more than a hour while an Army demolition team blew up a suspected explosive device. Members of the Oregon National Guard's Bravo Company, Second Platoon, maintained traffic control until the Iraqi police arrived just before the road re-opened. The motorists filled all the lanes of the highway, north and south, jockeying for position.
